Fort Ross-Seaview

Coastal Chardonnay from a family vineyard called ‘Nobles.’ Located near the historic Fort Ross, an early Russian coastal settlement dating from 1812, the vineyard lies on the interior of the second ridge from the Pacific Ocean. Marine sediment soils provide vibrant minerality and uplift.

Pure white silver in color. Zesty lemon and lime lead the nose, followed by Bosc pear and McIntosh apple fruits. Vanilla notes and crushed stone supporting underneath. A touch of toasted almond in the mouth adds mid-palate richness, finishing clean and bright. Medium dry finish. 25% barrel fermented and aged sur-lie with partial malolactic fermentation, the balance of the wine stainless steel fermented, and blended before bottling. A fresh, clean Chardonnay with a hint of creaminess in the texture. 11 barrels produced.
