Nobles Vineyard, Fort Ross-Seaview

Coastal Chardonnay from a family vineyard called ‘Nobles.’ Located near the historic Fort Ross, an early Russian coastal settlement dating from 1812, the vineyard lies on the interior of the second ridge from the Pacific Ocean. Marine sedimentary soils provide vibrant minerality and uplift.

Daybright golden color. Golden delicious apple, citrus and almond notes lead the nose. Vanilla, rich lemon, and crushed stone tones support the fruits, and a deft touch of toasty oak adds richness. The medium-dry finish is clean and bright. 25% barrel fermented and aged sur-lie with partial malolactic fermentation; the balance of the wine stainless steel fermented, and blended before bottling. A fresh, clean Chardonnay with a hint of creaminess in the texture. 12 barrels produced.
