Lucky Well Vineyard is located near the town of Occidental in the southern reaches of the Russian River drainage. Considered by some to be the premier area for Pinot Noir in the area, the vineyard lies on the back side of the coast ridge giving it a sweet spot of just enough exposure to Pacific breezes. From 100% Pommard clone. With lovely red strawberry and cranberry fruits up front, accented with notes of chanterelle mushroom, forest floor, pine, and spice. Full in the mouth with lovely texture and earth tones. Hints of warm oak accent the luscious red fruits. Nice long finish.
