The 2021 vintage is a classic Nobles Pinot Noir from a long-standing vineyard partnership with the Nobles family. On the crest of a ridge ten miles from the Pacific Ocean, sea shells can be seen in the marine sediment soils of the vineyard. Owner Marvin Nobles remembers finding marine fossils and even shark teeth as a boy, marking a time the land was lifted up from ancient sea beds to 1,200 feet. From historic Calera clone selection.

Generous red fruit aromas and flavors of strawberry and cranberry. Notes of pine needle, forest floor, and spiced oak. In the mouth, the firm tannins envelop and linger. A resonant expression of Pinot Noir that will age gracefully in the bottle. Drink late 2024–2030. 12 barrels produced.
