Originally planted with Calera, Swan, and VR clones by the renowned Ulises Valdez, the vineyard soils of Silver Eagle are a Goldridge mix with red shale, and offer a different profile than nearby Lucky Well Vineyard. This fine sandy loam encourages deep roots but low vigor, perfect for balancing explosive fruit flavors with minerality.

The 2021 vintage shows raspberry and ripe red cherry fruits leading the aromatics with black licorice, fern, and warm cinnamon stick tones supporting underneath. Caressing and silky in the mouth with complete tannins. Impeccably well-fruited with a broad texture. More structured than in some recent vintages. Finishes with depth and purity.
