Originally planted with Calera, Swan, and Vosné-Romanée clones by the renowned Ulises Valdez, the vineyard soils of Silver Eagle are a Goldridge mix with red shale, and offer a different profile than nearby Lucky Well Vineyard. This fine sandy loam encourages deep roots but low vigor, perfect for balancing explosive fruit flavors with minerality.

Raspberry and plum fruit aromas with white pepper and toasty oak nuances. Further earth tones of wet leaves, cocoa, and flint support the fruit. Silky and smooth in the mouth with fresh uplift in the finish. 14 barrels produced. Best 2025–2030.
