Moon Mountain District, Estate Grown

Estate Grown from old-vine clones from RockPile, Monte Rosso, and Dry Creek Vineyards.

Zinfandel was first planted on the slopes of Moon Mountain in the 1880s in the nearby Monte Rosso vineyard. Brion Wise has updated our plantings in an homage to the Italian wine-grower heritage of Sonoma County. Our 2023 release shows blackberry and Santa Rosa plum fruit aromas with hints of spicy red pepper, chaparral, and dusty red earth. The wine is medium-dry with a clean finish; pairs with pizza and red sauces. Best Now–2030. Only 6 barrels produced.
